Rest in the Carpathians in winter

The Carpathians … Winter … Rest … The combination of these three words ignites in the soul of every Ukrainian tourist who truly loves the picturesque nature of the Ukrainian Carpathians, just an incredible explosion of bright emotions, pleasant impressions and, most importantly, a desire – a desire to go on a vacation to the Carpathians again!

What is a winter holiday in the Carpathians? A lot of different impressions, interesting winter and sports activities for every taste (both for adult tourists and kids), amazing Transcarpathian cuisine, hospitality of hospitable residents and, of course, the fantastic beauty of the local nature. Mountains covered with snow caps, cozy Carpathian hotels and colorful houses of local residents, majestic forests and smooth mountain slopes, as if painted by a talented artist’s brush, will forever remain in the hearts of those who at least once visited winter Carpathians in winter.

By the way, the ski season in the Carpathians usually lasts from November to March, so it’s not only for the New Year and Christmas holidays that come here – you can go skiing in late autumn and early spring.

If we have always associated winter holidays with light frost, fluffy snow, deliciously crunchy underfoot, and a fabulous mood, but also in Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev and other Ukrainian cities (not to mention the southern part of the country) for the last couple of decades New Year and Christmas usually go completely out of winter. Dampness, slush, plus temperature and dank rain – unfortunately, they have long been faithful companions of the New Year and Christmas holidays. And this sad tendency inspires depression both for kids who dream of sledding and playing in the snow during the winter holidays, and for adults for whom such gray gloomy “holidays” become a logical continuation of gray workdays.

But in the Carpathians on New Year’s Eve, everything is completely different. The real winter reigns here, similar to the illustration for some magical children’s fairy tale: frost, snow, bright winter sun and crystal clear mountain air create an atmosphere just bewitching the city dweller, which makes the New Year holiday in the Carpathians truly fabulous and festive.

And a real abundance of entertainment – skiing, snowboarding, sledding, sledding and many other no less interesting and fascinating types of active winter recreation, will help to spend your winter vacation in the Carpathians bright and fun.

Ski holidays in the Carpathians
Both adults and children will be able to ski in the Carpathians – there are ski slopes of different difficulty levels, special ski schools work with both children and adult groups, the services of professional instructors in which are quite inexpensive.

In Western Ukraine, there are now dozens of excellent ski resorts with ski slopes with different levels of training, slopes for off-piste skiing and snowboarding. Almost all resorts are concentrated in the cities of Bukovel, Yaremche, Shayan, Slavske, Pylypets, Volosyanka, Polyana, Sergiya, Polyanitsa, Sinyak, Sorochin, Tatarov, Yablonitsa, Yasinya.
